Do you take naps?

I am all sleep fuddled now because I just had to go take a nap after lunch. Man, I am really feeling OLD lately!

LeeNoga 02-24-2004 09:38 AM

Do as your body needs not as age dictates :-)

Sarah_Jayne 02-24-2004 09:39 AM

Lee, I was forced to think of Yoda just then :)

It would be nice to get that much sleep again each night..

BradM 02-24-2004 09:43 AM

I used to nap a lot. Not anymore tho

Manowar 02-24-2004 09:44 AM

i dont take naps, i feel like shit when i wake up and do not get as much work done. i just sleep when im really tired for like 20 hours straight

kelly 02-24-2004 09:44 AM

I always feel so disorientated if I nap during the day - it's only good if you have a beer at lunchtime :winkwink:

Ross 02-24-2004 09:45 AM

I used to when we had an office outwith my house. When I got home from the office I lay on my bed and always fell asleep for a couple of hours.

Not now. My office is my house so I just work work work now :)

cool1 02-24-2004 09:46 AM

Sometime I nap sometimes I don't.

All depends on how much work I have done that day

LadyMischief 02-24-2004 09:46 AM

I often wish I could! I could proably use them :)

mardigras 02-24-2004 10:00 AM

I nap occasionally. I do better when I break my sleep into a couple or so segments rather than one long stretch.

Furious_Male 02-24-2004 10:02 AM

I am working on getting more than 3 hours of sleep per night first. After that I will focus on naps.

Once in a while after a big meal I will pass out in my recliner for about 10 minutes. Little power naps can do you some good.

I do the same thing.... if I sleep more than 4 - hours at a time, I wake up with a nasty damn headache.

27...I think I am coming out of a bout of insomnia mixed with being put on some new insulin regulating medication that just knocks me out after some meals.

C-Bass 02-24-2004 10:05 AM

I cant take naps.....cant sleep the nite later on

Lykos 02-24-2004 10:13 AM

Yeah sometimes but not that often but really like them:thumbsup

chrisp420 02-24-2004 10:27 AM

if i nap, i don't wake up.

pradaboy 02-24-2004 10:31 AM

sometimes... a 30min-1hour nap can really do a lot for ya

Herb Kornfield 02-24-2004 10:43 AM

I nap since I have the worst insomnia attacks at night lately.

all depends on how the attacks are that day :)

Angie 02-24-2004 11:58 AM

I just can't seem to nap, I prefer to hang off and go to bed a bit earlier at night. If I did nap I know I wouldn't get as good a sleep that night, and I like my nights sleep :winkwink:

Sosa 02-24-2004 12:20 PM

I take naps alot, just depends if I have anything to do when I get home from work around 4pm.

Sarah, do you get tired after eating 'carby' meals such as potato and pasta? I've regulated my blood sugar by eating low-carb and it may be something you might want to look into, it's also worked for my mum :)

Head 02-24-2004 12:35 PM

I do sometimes. If I feel tired i Probably need one.
I think they're good to have but not al the time!

SetTheWorldonFire 02-24-2004 12:36 PM

yeah, I do and I have polycystic ovaries which apparently can be connected to insulin resistance. So, they have put me on metformin to try to regulate my insulin. However, since I have been on that I get the same way with any meal.

sexsup 02-24-2004 12:48 PM

I take naps only in summer, I dont know the reason, but in that period I'm more inspired evidently

BV 02-24-2004 12:49 PM

jhauser 02-24-2004 12:50 PM
