Bye Bye ARS
Wow ARS has just gone from having one of the larges selections of sites to promote to one of the smallest. They dumped every single site they had and now only have a handfull of reality sites and a pay per click "For Mature Audiences" site.
Time to say goodbye!!!:2 cents: |
Good things might come out of this, but right now it feels like... Well, nothing really.
|
interesting for sure
big shake up! |
weird :(
|
they might be slow to change, but they've got loads of traffic and money.
and i'm not happy the direction they are going (because they are finally moving into a (our) space that doesn't have much competition). :) |
they had only 5 back ends and hundreds of front ends
I can't understand how they ever kept the %1 c/b...or did they? Times changed... They got some nice reality sites.... if they give some nice content, good prices for the surfers they can turn to be the best affiliate program... |
yea, i'm really disapointed in the VERY small areas to promote, basicly reality sites only.
Also it appears that if you want to refer webmasters you have to submit every url you will be sending traffic from, I thought that went out years ago. And they even screwed up the BYOT, now you have to create a members area and update it yourself. AANNNNDDDD they are forwarding all the hits from their old sites to the new "For Mature Audinces Only" site, so far on 1000 clicks I've made almost a whole dollar!!! |
Sad to see this happen. I convert 1:60 with one of their sites.

did not get a shit off those guys...

no one can pay you $35 per signup and not retain.... their strategy is like blind links that cost money... if someone promised me X in the tour and I got Y in the members area I would be pissed as fuck. I never thought it was a good idea to have 1,000,000 tours.... :2 cents: |

I'm only doing 500-600 dollars a month with them now, But 2 years ago I was doing over 4,000 dollars a month and if they had pulled this then I'd have lost my mind!!:feels-hot
|
The only good thing in the new ARS is better websites.
But they lowered payouts by $10 I think those new sites would convert better than the old ones, but not better enough to compensate for so much lower payouts. |
I think it is time to cover this "dinosaur" with dirt. It is dead, and it is really starting to smell BAD. :glugglug

Last june I was making $150 - $300 per 1k tgp traffic.... If I make $100 now I'm a happy camper. |

Earn a flat rate on each signup. The Pay Per Signup program pays $25-$30 for any type of signup made to any of the approved reality paysites in our portfolio. |
so many different ways to make money on the web.
|
mmm, they had 1000's of webmasters right? maybe they noticed that there were millions of advertisements created by their webmasters and uploaded on free hosts here and there spidered on search engines and etc, getting tons of sign ups when combined. $ that coulda been avoided to be sent out, so they decided to, "reset" the business and keep the $?
I dont know, i am just guessing. :eatmouse i havent used them in a lonnnggg time. |
One would think that instead of bashing ARS for taking what are very logical steps to get to this point, you would all stop and think about what other sponsors may do to deal with their situations.
This is not a Visa thing either, I'll bet. |

They wouldn't reset their whole biz strategy just because they have too much time on their hands. |

It seems to me most webmasters were getting tired of ARS's random supermarket of front ends to promote. How many programs have blown up in the past two years with that approach? Not many if any at all. Programs with a handful of real quality sites with exclusive (or pseudo-exclusive) content have been taking away their traffic.
Sure, ARS probably has the most webmasters but the clicks couldn't have been coming like they used to. There's just no way. But now, with this new approach featuring better sites and no more prehistoric style tours that definitely kept folks like me away, along with the tons of perks ARS offers I think they are worth another look. I haven't sent them a click since 2001. I think I might send some more now and see how they are converting. |
The BYOT situation is kinda sad though. People did put a lot of energy into that.

The below is said on that page above. "To achieve these results, we will stop traffic that is going to the current sites in the portfolio and provide three new programs to send that traffic to. " ---------- My sales have seemed to all of the sudden stop tonight with ars. Did they stop the traffic already?? Anyone seeing sales stop? Maybe im just having a bad few hours.... hope so. |

Never sent one sale to arsin the five years I've been here.
|
It sounds like the new BYOT is actually going to be a pseudo-AVS... built with their content and hosted on their servers. We're just "contractors" hired to build the actual sites.
Make sense? |

Well, let me say not surprising.
I was sending traffic to indiaxposed.com 18 months before ARS released indiaexposed.com I was sending traffic to balloon sites 15 months before ARS got their balloon sites and that is just a small sample. http://www.hardcoredollars.com seem to come up with niches 1 or 2 years before the major players. They are now strictly on revshare, but big deal. When my traffic stops, my income doesn't. It's been 7 months since I have sent traffic to some sites and I am still getting my checks, so for long term benefits, nothing beats revshare. Check out http://www.hardcoredollars.com if anyone has specific traffic they do not want to loose |

Definitely interesting to note... ARS' shift may be the Cassandra that people do not wish to heed until the Big One hits. |
goodbye Ars :(
|
I think ARS knows what they're doing. Pl.us the new sites look great!!
|
WOW!!!!! Interesting....wonder why? We love coming up with new sites (AND content) and keep up the variety to fit everyones fetish...and to provide a niche for all kinds of traffic...again, wonder why they dropped all those sites? Anyone find out...please post here....
|
Bye Bye..?
Nah, more like... Hello bright new future! :thumbsup |
