People probably aren't going to stop driving SUV's and big trucks unless gas prices jump drastically from like $2 gallon to $3 a gallon in a short period of time.

Story on that a few minutes ago on the local news. Combination of California refineries cutting back production for usual maintenance and people driving more, they say.
