What are you paying for outsourced overseas techs?

I've got the lowest at $7.50 /hr now. And someone told me today that's still paying too much for India.

WebDork 02-22-2004 08:09 PM

$5 / hour is standard.

lurking 02-22-2004 08:09 PM

$1.50/day.

Spunky 02-22-2004 08:10 PM

I pay my two techs here in Brazil R$400 month.

They work 6 days a week.

That's about $140

Cheap fucker. You go apeshit over a few dogs getting killed and yet somehow you can justify keeping a human being in poverty.

bluff 02-22-2004 11:15 PM

Paying $7.50 an hour and looking to pay less. Don't give me that bullshit about how they are living like kings on that money either because I don't buy it.

The average person in India makes about $3,000 a year.

By paying $7.50 an hour, KRL is providing someone with an income of about $15,000 a year.

Would it be better if he didn't employ someone in India at all?

Try going...

Anyone making as much as a grand a month lives like a king, especially in the more rural areas.

CCFool 02-22-2004 11:24 PM

People like krl are filled with pure greed.

They care about no others.

They 'claim' to spend millions on domains and then can't even hire a real American to do work for them.

This is exactly what's wrong with America.

People like krl need to be shipped overseas.

The jobs need to be kept in America.

A lot of people in the US would LOVE to make 15k a year working from home on a computer.

I don't give a flying fuck. It doesn't change the fact that they go home to some shitty tin shack in a diseased slum. And I highly doubt that the worker would get all that money, most likely an agency is taking a cut. So once again the rich get richer, the poor stay poor, but the fucking dogs in Korea have someone looking out for them.

you need to do some research,. currently you just look like an ass :)

For the record, I pay $4 an hour for my employees in the Philipenes.

I'm a willing buyer of their services and they're a willing seller. I don't put a gun to their heads and force them to work. They want to work, and they're willing to do it for $4 a hour.

I'm happy to be providing them with employment, and they tell me all the time how much they like working for me.

Over 2 Million American jobs have been lost in the last few years.

How many because of Greed?

How many daily jobs that should be given to Americans are being lost due to Greed?

Yeah, he's saving the world. What about the Americans that go home to shitty houses in depressed slums? As stated earlier, $7.50 an hour would go a long way there as well.

People like krl need to be taking care of Americans in his own country instead of supporting 3rd world countries.

How you can say it's anything but greed is beyond me.

Millions of people are jobless in the US while people like krl try to save a few bucks so he can afford his next Million Dollar domain name.

GREED

It's a sad day when Americans stop caring about each other.

Newsflash: Greed is good.

Employing people in 3rd world countries helps the economy of those coutries and provides people with a means of employment. <---- That is a good thing.

It does matter if you are going to portray yourself as the kindly employer.

I employ nobody overseas. If I have oustide work I give it to friends. I prefer to know that the worker is getting all of the money instead of a meager cut.

By the way, have you ever bought anything that said "Made in China" on it? If so, you're just as guilty as he is. Importing labor from other countries is no different than importing products from other countries.

Stop the GREED!

People are in business to make money. People are not in business to help those who refuse to help themselves. Those are called charities.

Fuck you, if you can't find work in the us, lower your standards. Ditches still need to be dug.

If you had a choice to help another country or help your own...which would you choose?

Any human with a heart would choose to help their own country's people.

All other things being equal, of course I would employ someone in my own country, but things aren't equal. You can buy the same product (labor) for much less in another country, and any good businessman would take advantage of that.

Its smart business. Just think about everything you buy in stores. Think it was made here ? Fuck no, companies cant be competitive paying an American to do the work. Instead everything is made in Taiwan, India, Philippines, and China.

well, generally speaking the two are the same. Think it through you fucking agitator. If I pay less labor, I make more. If I make more, I can spend more on shit that I want, thereby increaseing consumer spending. Which is good for the economy. Even if I buy items made in other countries, we still win.

There are other benefits, especially in the long term.

Americans who can't get work need to renew their skillsets and get off their collective lazy asses.

Exactly.

Anyone who complains about outsourcing, but yet has purchased items made in other countries is a hypocrite.

Buying labor from another country is no different than buying products from another country.

Not entirely. In many cases we don't have a choice. Beyond that, we did not deliberately seek out an individual to impoverish with low wages. Guys like KRL did that. :thumbsup
