DVD Ripping??

OK I am still wondering about this Icoo Cash and whether they are above board. Sounds like a good idea in theory if they do have all the licenses for the dvd's they're ripping. However, has anyone found any of their own content on the sites http://www.terabyteofporn.com/ and http://www.freexdvd.com/ that has not been licensed to these companies for distribution. I am really curious about it and not been able to find anything.

I did find it curious in their terms that they charge a $40 penalty to the webmaster if there is a chargeback on their account. The signup payout is only like $8.95 but yet they're charging the webmaster $40. Something just doesn't smell right here.

well someone posted about it earlier and maintains that Universal Images has releases but I have no clue who Universal Images is and still am wondering if anyone has found their stuff on there being used illegally....

why are you so worried about it?

were you a hall monitor in school?

first of all let me say fuck off asshole.. second of all I occasionally promote sites and just wondered if this was something worth investigating. Who are you the 16 year old in detention that has nothing better to do? I have a right to question a sketchy program and inquire from my peers as to whether they have any information on it. I don't want to get wrapped up in a program that may cause ramifications for me because of it's failure to comply to laws. Oh by the way did I say fuck off??? :winkwink:

by the way, your post proves your total lack of intelligent thought, as any program can go under at any moment, this has been proven time and time again.

I think your post shows the lack of intelligence. Considering the fact that I was not calling into question whether or not they would be here tomorrow. I was in fact questioning the legalities and whether or not other webmasters and/or content providers had researched it and found their own content in the program without the proper licenses for distribution. Next time try reading my question instead of coming into a thread to be an ass.

I have worked in the industry long enough I very well know that any program can go under at any moment and many programs weather storms and continue on to be successful. However, that is not the question that I raised. Once again, it was the legality of the sites that icoocash is utilizing to assist in the content portion of their program.

I think it's a hell of an idea and if everything is legal then more power to them and i'm sure I would have considered promoting them had it not been for the $40 chargeback penalty. Although I do realize that sponsors must protect themselves from fraudulent signups and subsequent chargebacks with some sort of fee or penalty I think that a $40 penalty on a $8.95 signup is a tad bit excessive.

Did I make myself clear or did I use too many unintelligent words for you?

undermyspell 02-22-2004 05:21 PM

oh and by the way next time you tell me that i'm an idiot you may just want to check "your" spelling/grammar. It comes off so much more effective of an insult when properly spelled.
