What about electric bill? Some portion of it stands as a write off to run the electronic equipment your business requires. Unless you counted it in there somewhere on the list & I missed it. :)

Yeah if you have a home office you can take the percentage your office takes up and take off that much on your water, electricity, mortgage etc.

PersianKitty 02-21-2004 04:07 PM

Keev 02-21-2004 05:12 PM

Jedimaster 02-21-2004 05:15 PM

I also write off my dogs food and vet bills as my "security system"

No really,,you can.

You can write off anything that makes you business profitable, as long as you can prove it.

Nice list.

I just did taxes yesterday.

IRA helped me out.

Cory W 02-22-2004 11:45 AM

I won a trip to Jamaica, all expense paid for two, via my isp. In all honesty, I didn't have time to take the trip.

They reported it as 4k income for last year.

The trip has since expired.

Funny how things work out.

Nanda 02-22-2004 11:49 AM

Great list!:thumbsup

Seems like you could contest that. You never took posession of the prize. Had it been a physical item like a car and you never took it I don't see how they could tax you for it.

I am going to call the place and see if they will give me the prize.

I signed some papers, but I don't know what (I was too damn excited at the time).

Hopefully I can work it out though. I relaly don't know what my rights are on something of this nature.
