any wireless network gurus?

I have a Linksys wireless router, I just bought it and I am trying to connect my laptop on the network. I have a Intel Pro 2100 internal nic card in my laptop. It keeps saying "wireless network unavailable". I am standing right next to my router when it says this. All my SSID's and everything are how they should be, even when I disable that it still says wireless network unavailable.
When I go into the program that configures the NIC card it says "Radio: On Off" but the radio botton to click on is highlighted out, so I cant change those settings. I've tried everything, any suggestions? Could it be the router? I have a wire computer on it and its working fine.

Check the 192. webpage that your router comes with. Make sure the WEP settings are correct. Check your wireless card's network settings make sure the WEP settings are the same as the router.
