Hey CPU Guys...Can I Kill My DLLCache Folder
Lotsa infected files in there.
|
sup jason,
if its just a cache i dont see what the problem would be... but if its holding dll's to temp memory that you already have in your system folder, then those files would have to be infected too. what are you infected with? |
sup dude.. how are things?
good ol worms.. looks like i'm buying a new harddrive and some virus software this weekend.. fresh start.. lol |
goin pretty good. busy working my offline biz lately....
have you tried to find a cleaner for the specific worm you have? |

jason, better not to use the infected system till you get an antivirus. Worms can give access to hackers in your system, steal your passes and surf your hard disk like it's their own....
do you know the name of the virus? |
PE VALLA.A
PE PARITE.A PE PARITE.A-1 WORM NACHI.B |
I had that damn Nachi one on two of my machines! U give me that jason? ;)
hahaha |
download this removal tool and run it to get ride of the last virus which is the most dangerous
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/FixWelch.exe it's a new variation of blaster (about 10days old) more about it here http://securityresponse.symantec.com...ia.b.worm.html The DCOM RPC vulnerability (described in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS03-026) using TCP port 135. The worm specifically targets Windows XP machines using this exploit. The WebDav vulnerability (described in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS03-007) using TCP port 80. The worm specifically targets machines running Microsoft IIS 5.0 using this exploit. The worm's use of this exploit most probably you got infected because you have RPC enabled. Read here how you can disable it. http://home.sunlitsurf.com/~dtugg/rpcfix/ It's the most popular way of worms infections lately. A month ago i finished an XP instalation, went online and after 3min i had a virus in my pc because RPC is enabled by default |
if you had a firewall setup most of your problems would be avoided
