People Have So Little Compassion For Their Fellow Man
This morning was having coffee with a friend and this big burly dishoveled looking black guy walks in and starts mumbling to the cashier that he needs help, he's lost, he's not feeling well and could they call the police for him.
A bunch of the waiters came up right away thinking obviously the guy was doing a holdup or causing problems and started yelling at him to get out and leave. They all took an immediately hostile attitude to this poor guy. He wasn't a bum or smelly. Just looked confused. He kept trying to ask them for help and they just were all rude fuckers saying get the hell out of here. The guy look so troubled, and finally complied and just walked right out to the street and into oncoming traffic and nearly got run over by several cars as he crossed the road to a gas station. It was a miracle he was able to stumble across without getting hit. I walked up to the counter and started to say some words to the people there. This is what I got back. "Who cares, he looked liked a total loser." "That guy was talking like a retard and we don't need his kind in our coffee shop." "Hehehe look's like he's going to be road kill anyway." Just all smart asses these folks. I was dialing Fire Rescue when a cop car drove by saw the guy stumbling and pulled in. Another cop car arrived within a few minutes and it looked like they were trying to see what was wrong. But it just really sucks the way people automatically treat other fellow human beings just because of their appearance. All the waiters needed to be slapped for the way they talked so meanly to this poor guy. It seems like so few people give a damn or care anymore about the welfare of others. Really sad. |
That's america for you, everyone only cares about themselves.

bad acid
|
Maybe it was a whites only coffee shop???
|
You should have slapped the piss out of them.
Wtf is the problem with people these days, they all deserve what they get :2 cents: |

Reminds me of GFY.

That is so incredibly sad...this man was asking for help and they threw him out. I hope karma comes back to those people at the restaurant....7 fold. You get what you put out, and someday, somehow, people will get back exactly what they give out to others.
|
damn that sucks..did you find out what happened to him?
maybe he had some sort of attack that leaves him confused for a time afterwards |

Everyone is selfish which is sad, though compassion can still be given. Blah

A nation brainwashed by TV and commercialism, what do you expect?
|
What goes around comes around... I'm sure there will come a day when they'll think back on this and wish they'd helped the guy. Sad story though.
|
thats so fucked up. when will people learn that you can't judge a book by its cover? I can't believe that not one employee stood up for him. ARRGGHH!
|
What do you expect? You're in the south.
They're calling someone a loser, yet they're reduced to working in a coffee shop. Maybe he was a loser to them, but point out that they're even bigger losers to someone as filthy rich as yourself. Of course you're not a dick who would think that way but it'd prove a point(if they understood it). |
very sad state of reality there...but I'm not shocked...

FUCKERS !
His sypmtoms are signs of a brain hemorrage ! I hope he is going to be okay. |
the guy was probably drunk or high. I wouldnt want someone like that scaring away my customers. I would have told him to get the fuck out and that Id call the cops to come help him.
|
The same attitude in europe, people dont listen to others anymore. If somebody is just a way different than the majority, flame the fucker.
This is really disturbing how things has evolved. The world would be somewhat more pleasant with more love and caring people. |

Well to make the point stick why dont we have a "national be nice to everyone day" just like the sig sales day on GFY.
Everyone for one day can't flame or be nasty to anyone or else they get banned from GFY Just an idea I know it will be hard |

That was awful! Personally, I would have paid my bill and walked out, letting the manager know that with employees like that, I certainly won't be returning. :feels-hot

and tell GFY who they are so nobody here will either. :winkwink: |
Really sad story, but the saddest thing is that similar situations happen everyday and everywhere

KRL! You're in Florida!!? Are you a native?!
Native Floridian = RARE BREED! That's not really south, dude... I know it looks that way on the map, but really..... Being in Florida is like being in upstate NewYork, only the drive's not so far from Tennessee :thumbsup Fyrflygrl |

I had something like that happen to me when I was working as a lifeguard back in highschool. I was on my way to the pool in the morning and stopped into get my cup of coffee at a local coffee shop. They were in the middle of kicking out a guy who had come in asking to use the phone. All he wanted was for someone to call the cops or an ambulance. His head was split wide open, 6 or 7 inch cut on the top of his gushing blood. I called the cops while trying to bandage his head to stop the blood loss sitting in the entery way of the donut shop while they were yelling at me to get out. Went and picked up my shirt that I had used to bandage him at the hosptal later that day. He had gotten rolled and beaten by his friends when he left a party early that morning. This kinda thing happens and I don't know why. It makes me shake my head.
Why can't someone just call the cops or get the person the help they need? Needless to say I have never been back to that coffee shop. |
That sucks, fortunately it's not like that here.
People generally have to be pretty sad, shallow and miserable individuals to look for the opportunity to use a power trip like these waiters did on this guy. Karma is a beautiful thing and we all get it, every second of every day whether we realise it or not. |
