a bit late i know but still wanted to get everyones opinion.

Whole thing is a load of shit. If it was "white" aussies rioting they would have had the shit beaten out of them. If they were "white" and did it in Victoria half of them would have been shot. Its just reverse racism.

You got a link to the original story about the kid on the bike? As for the riot looks a little tame, I mean they had two officers leading away an elderly black woman.

Shame about the kid though, but why was he running/riding away from the cops?

the riot definitely wasnt tame. no arrests were made on the night.
40 piggers were injured including broken legs one knocked out etc.

If 40 pigs were injured but no civilians thats not exactly crazy, and from the looks of it, its probably one broken leg from the 40 injured. Most of the injuries were probably small burns, bruises, or other cuts and scrapes. From the video linked doesn't like anything all that serious honestly.

i assume the kid was running away from the cops coz he probably stole something from somewhere that day and thought they were going after him when in fact they werent. thats my conclusion anyway.

True, dont know what you got down there on a daily basis, but this is usual stuff for us by now I guess. That's really a sad state of affairs when you think about it.

They just all jumped on the bandwagon to cause some damage on grand scale. There was no moral grounds to it.

The police were too soft... should've lobbed some tear gas in there pronto or pulled out the bean bag guns.

blah blah, when are people at Redfern not complaining anyway? Cops looked like pussies backing away from them half the night though - they should of beat their asses down like they would of anyone else.

It seems like this has been going on for decades in redfern, i remember 15 yrs ago shit there was bad, it's like a mini middle east conflict. Hard to resolve.. if the cops push too hard it ends up worse.. fuel on the fire.
