How do you determine a purchase price for an up and runnign paysite?

That's it, I am looking to purchase an existing paysite and I am having a hard time coming up with an initial offer price. Anybody know a formula? :thumbsup

i think it's like 1 months revenue x 6 = Value or some shit like that:2 cents:

Thanks, anyone else? This seems to be sort of a concensus from what I have heard thus far.

Consider other factors too

- can the content licenses be transferred?
- if the site uses original content (worth much more), are the raw pics & tapes available?
- will you actually receive the existing members? This cannot be done unless ownership of the account/subaccount is transferred to you.
- Existing affiliate program?

Start of with what you think is fair based on the sales, membership base, content type, other perks of the site.

Make an offer. All they can say is no. Let them know your not real sure about the value of the site upfront, so if your offer is to low they will accept a higher offer if you are prepared to raise your bid.

Ask them what the high bid is so far...

maybe 6months x revenue + content + design.

that's a start

sounds stupid to me, then of course they are going to ask for more.

if i said, "uhhhhh what do you think about 20,000" that sounds completely negative and the person selling it would be a moron not to ask for more.
