dv to mpeg1 on the MAC

Tried Cleaner6, results are pretty poor compared to a wmv using the same software and same bitrate.

Any suggestions from you Macca's ?

Very hard to do on the Mac. I think Final Cut Pro would be about the only way to do it and I'm not even sure if that does mpeg 1.

Im not getting good results either and im using DV to encode from... for example if I do 1000kbps wmv and a 1000kbps mpg, the wmv wins hands down qualitywise everytime.

Quiet, do you use the default presets or have you made your own?
