Toon Designers - question
 

My girlfriend is a great artist, and she is interested in doing toon logos like the one at: elephantlist.com

I know jackshit about design, what sort of programs are a needed/recommended?

Well first and formost get ahold and learn Adobe Photoshop this is the best tool for graphic design i could give ya.

If your looking to create stuff like We create then check out Poser This is an awsome 3d model creator

other then that there are tons of others We use on a daily basis the following to create our content.....

Photoshop, Fireworks, ACDSEE, Image Walker, Image Ready, 3D Studio Max, Bryce, Poser, MojoWorld, Dreamweaver, MGI Photo Vista, and honestly the list goes on.

if she's really good at drawing, you should think about picking up a wacom tablet, pretty much - you sketch on it - it's on-screen. there really can't be much easier. and for tooning, i find that illustrator is a better environment. but that's me. :thumbsup

we can always use more digital artists!

You don't need a waccom tablet at all.. I'm doing all my stuff on papers... Waccom is to much time consuming if you want to do more detailed characters..

If she's any good lemme know. I have too much work to handle as it is.
