You spoil your kids and provide everything for them in life and they will not only never appreciate a damn thing but they will also loose a lot of drive to get off their asses and get something for themselves. As for refusing the house, why the fuck not? how can you live a proud life when you have to tell everyone 'my mommie bought this for me, and that and this, oh and everything else of importance I own' , not only will no one respect you but I can't see how you can truly respect yourself. I make coin so I can provide my children a safe environment to live in, but when it comes to giving them everything they want, not a chance in hell as I am not going to have my kids become yet another spoiled little kid that expects everything on life handed to them.

I don't see how she was spoiled. Her parents have money. She went to school and is being rewarded. I know plenty of families who reward their children with a brand new car. Her mother happens to have enough money to get her a new house.. and besides.. when your children get that age.. you want to hook them up with some nice shit cuz when you get old - you want them to return the favor.

Now if she wasn't working and/or going to school to better her career and life and mommy gave her everything.. then I'd agree with you.

My parents arent loaded but they said they will pay for the upcoming house that I wanted but I DID refuse, and will be paying it off myself.

I see nothing wrong in accepting a place cause your parents are rich, I sometimes wish I was from a rich family but im not so I gotta pay for what I want.
