A couple of terms that were coming in all the time pre Google dance, are now coming up rather nicely with Yahoo now.
I'll have to try a few more combinations, but so far, so good! |
it's been 3 hours for todays stats. Yahoo would be lucky if they got 50% of what I get from google.......now it's even steven

Interesting indeed. Their engine is not bad, but it does seem strange. I see some very old spam sites from Google (that were there some months ago) mixed in with some very legitimate sites on almost every term. Not many terms I am aiming for seem to have a clean frontpage of good, solid results.

A lot of spam in the new Yahoo results.
|
It's a good thing that they've seperated in my opinion. It's giving us all a shot at achieving different results at the 2 largest SE's. While this may not work out well for the guy on top, it's definitly an advantage to the guy who's around 5-10 steadilly for search terms.

... I like it, I am ranked on different keywords ... give my traffic a good mix.
|
So Yahoo created thier own version of ODP/DMOZ. Good for them. They still suck because they charge to be included on thier site and they are a bit short on the traffic side of things.
I have always gotten 75% of my traffic from Google and this is because I target everything I do to Google and say to hell with the rest of the search engines. I would say that Google has more traffic and searches than all other search engines combined. The only problem with ODP/DMOZ is the fact that is run by people. Many of the mods there play favorites and keep people from getting listed that they dont agree with. |
Nice. Now my non adult site is number one with yahoo again... Damn google filters it because it's linked by the same words as in it's domain. Though I was not ever spamming it, just changed links with several relative sites...
