267 here ;) but i was 13 then.

i did 173 tonight. may not be much to you, but that was HUGE for me. i mean HUGE.

i can't see how i will ever come near that again...

haha, oh i blow now... but i think it'd be a fun thing maybe in a couple years to join a league again. fun shit.

My high score is like in the 140's

Local alley out here has "midnight bowling" where they have pins that are blue or pink and if you blast a strike you make a buck or two.

Usually, we make enough to cover a few pitchers of beer for the crew.

After a few rounds however, you start to wonder about all these drunken people tossing bowling balls around, lol......

My high is 247.

My parents stuck me in a league when I was 7. I bowled for 10 years every Saturday at 9am. Then an hour of training with some coaches. And most of the time there were tournaments at other alleys after league play. My thumb used to swell up so much. Sometimes it would bleed. You would all laugh at the amount of trophies and medals I have in my room :) I came in 3rd in the province of Quebec and I made the Nation's Top Ten. My average alone was nearing the 200 mark.

But I feel my parents ruined the fun for me. Occasionally my boyfriend and friends want to go out drinking and bowling and I sort of despise it now. I want to stay as far away from it. Because it's not a fun thing for me. It's a competetive and stressful thing. It'll remind me too much of my dad's face when I turned around after throwing a bad ball. I was terrified. I do have my own fingertip ball (the middle and ring finger holes are plugged up with rubber sockets so that your fingertips go in-this causes the revs and curve on the ball) and I have my own shoes. To this day my right thumb is bigger than my left. A bowlers thumb. I'm 21 now and I have no intention of joining a league anytime soon. Maybe when I'm in my 40's :)
