Tonight's Thoughts: Motivation & Success...

i don't know where i'm going to go with this but we'll see how it turns out...

so i'm sittin here after having talked with my programmer telling him he needs to stop being fucking lazy and WORK. the idea is quite simple, you work and you get paid. have a plan, do what it takes to reach your goal through that plan.

is it really that fucking difficult? i think the same thing to myself, when a lot of the time i'm slacking off. human nature is a bitch i guess. or is it? maybe i don't really have what you'd refer to as a great "work ethic" -- its coming along.

"Unsuccessful people are generally lazy". fuckin a, simple idea. this principle needs to be drilled into my head again and again. i've made progress though... we'll see how it turns out in the end.

so, to be a good businessman, you must be motivated. not some slacking off pile of petrified dog shit.

i will now stop rambling... with that said:

GET IT DONE

Some people are very motivated, and it turns out to be the core of their problem.
They get 15 great ideas a day and start typing/scribbling down notes on it, before they know it an hour has gone by... by the end of the week they've gotten diddlyshit done from having all of these projects pop into their head...
And by the end of the month they've got SO many projects that they're working on that they don't even know where to start. It gets overwhelming, they're all tied in together (can't finish site B until site A is finished, since they link together; can't work on site C until site A is finished either, can't do D because it's going to feed B...) and they end up not doing anything productive at all.

I think focus is just as important as motivation, if not moreso.

Choker and 12clicks have had this same philosophy recently on here...

Naah. They're like turtles. Get them on their back and they can't get up.
At that point you just roll them down the sidewalk and up the loading ramp into your van.
