Yankees and Maddux?
FUCK the fucking yankees if they also get maddux like the reports are saying right now.
|
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
BOW BEFORE THE EVIL EMPIRE shit man, this almost makes up for the Giants sucking shit thru a crazy straw all fucking year almost |
It looks like Greg Maddux won't be wearing pinstripes.
Greg Maddux / P Height: 6'0" Weight: 185 Bats/Throws: R/R More info: Stats Splits A Major League Baseball source told the Bergen Record that the Yankees were moving closer to signing the free-agent pitcher, who turned the Yankees down in the winter of 1992 before signing with the Braves. Yankees general manager Brian Cashman, though, shot down the report during Monday's conference call with reporters announcing the Alex Rodriguez deal. "We are not involved with Greg Maddux," Cashman said. Maddux, who like Rodriguez is represented by agent Scott Boras, reportedly turned down a multi-year offer from the San Francisco Giants over the weekend. And the Chicago Cubs have raised their initial offer to Maddux of $10 million over two years, which was made Jan. 13. Details of the increase were not disclosed. "I'd like to get something done, make my decision by the middle of next week, since most camps are opening," Maddux said recently. "But even if it's a few days after that, or even a week after that, I don't see it as a big deal. Spring Training is two weeks too long as it is. I've done my work all winter. I think after 20 years in pro ball I know how to get myself ready for a season." |
He'll go to San Diego more than likely. Yanks starting rotation is pretty much complete. I wish they had a solid lefty who could start + be a middle reliever.
Mussina Vazquez Contrares Brown Lieber A couple of those guys will have a good shot at Cy Young this year. Pretty happy with that. |
I think they have at least one lefty starter by opening day
it's like 5 1/2 months away |
As long as he doesn't goto the yankees that is all I care.

Damn, I wonder what they'll do now. Heredia and White may be the only lefties on the whole pitching staff come opening day. |
Heredia blows donkey balls too.
Fuck the Yankees, GO CUBS! |
If it does happen... then great :)
|
He needs to go back to Chicago...
|
Maddux won't go to the Yanks -- he'll stay west coast, but not sure where. SD looked likely for so long, but I think they blew their wad on Boomer -- my guess is the AZ Snakes.
Steinfuhrer will spend the rest of this winter trying to figure out how to get someone besides Erick Almonte or Miguel Cairo to start at 2B -- gawd help us all if he does... <br> |

:thumbsup As it stands right now Juan Cruz is the cubs fifth starter. I sure hope Maddux goes back to Chicago. |
fuck the yankees! Maddux is comming to sweet home chicago
|
The Cubs starting rotation is pretty damn fine even without Maddux. I hope he is back in Chi-Town though this year. Go Cubbies!
|
That would be a bummer. I was hoping that the cubs would get him!
|
I hope he does go there, it will make it even more funny if they loose. That's the only thing I find remotely entraining about baseball anymore, when the Yankees don't win. That league has ruined itself almost as badly as the NHL.
|
Just remember...
The Diamondbacks, Angels and Marlins have won the last three World Series. |

Fuck the Yankees they can get any players they still will not win the world series again this year :thumbsup
