Your company sux

So many times i read thread headers only to read the thread and find the person they were bitching about bendin over backwards to help. Webmasters that read these headings and not the threads dont actually see the full picture and can only judge they saw a negitive post.

By the end of the thread the person that started it is appologising but the damage has been done 100 other webmasters that saw the thread title without visiting have formed a first impression.

GFY is a message board not support for these companies if you get no where by icq and email then bitch post and complain. If the service providers arent clairvoyants they wont know your unhappy until you contact them but try to contact them first for fucks sake i am seeing a lot of good reputations tarnished over incompetence in customers.

The customer is always right gimme a break some are just a royal pain in the ass. I am just imagining some of these webmasters bitching at McDonalds for some free fries GFY

Webmasters who do that (especially if they repeat the charge in the header elsewhere) are webmasters I don't think I'd want to do business with. They would probably be poor with details of a business relationship. I take all accusory posts at messageboards with a grain of salt and if it's something I think could even possibly be true wait to hear from the other side before forming an opinion.

But I agree with you, the "Your company sux" posts before making reasonable efforts to settle problems privately really sux:)

Well said...

I know with our company the people who have done this ussualy have made a $20 order or its their first time. The people who make the large orders are the ones you never hear from untill their traffic is about to run out and they want to send you a wire for more...

I have never understood why people think to post on gfy to get support from other companys. Most, if not all companys have plenty of ways to contact them...

Sometimes the content of the thread is irrelevant... the title is the only thing worth commenting on or they have a comment for the title only.

Shit, most of the time.. the title has nothing to do with the thread anyway....

Besides... the person making those comments may know something about that person/company they comment on that you don't.

If that's the case it will come out when everyone has their say:)

My point mainly was that all reasonable attempts should be made to settle privately before bringing it to the boards. Too many times it turns out the person hasn't called a number posted on the other person's site or other contact methods listed or they fired off an e-mail and are posting 2 days later about no response.

Most people either don't get your messages, forgot about it or are actually ignoring you and when you bring it up here, they look bad if they continue to do the ignoring. If you try over and over again privately and you get no response, boards are a typical way of getting attention.

I totaly agree... settling quietly is alwasy best... bt sometimes people don't want to deal with these things so they ignore it... then sometimes the boards are the only way to get some resolve... sometimes not.

True. If you get no response after a while, it may be necessary to put that person on the spot. Mabey then you will get your desired response...and quickly too.

:2 cents:

That is true however from my experience it seems like the people who do post here do not even make an attempt to contact anyone.

another point but a small one the ones that whinge and whine usually create a new nic handle to bitch with so their original is untarnished a violation of GFY rules. Too many times i see 10 posts to the handle bitching if you want us to stand and take note use your real nic name.
