Well, every thing was good right up to him giving his real adress to the dealership... Seriously, what a fucking idiot.

All he had to do was fork over a few bucks for a po box somewhere, use a fake ID to get that, and he'd be good to go... What an idiot though, driving it around like that. Should already have a buyer lined up before the car even gets to him.

how can any of you say this kid was smart? he gave them his OWN address, then gives this other dealer his real id etc without even hesitating. it wasn't going to take the dealership long to realise he'd fucked them, and they knew exactly where to find him when they did..

Depends on his record. I'd play dumb .. act like I was ripped off .. some guy took the car from me and never payed me. Take a plea bargain, spend a year in juvi. 40k for a year in Juvi.. more than he is going to make with a summer job =)

I sold new cars for years and all the time you get young guys trying to con you into letting em take out a big V8 for a spin as they blah blah have the money. A good salesperson will quailify the buyer this guy was just an idiot. It is hard to sell a car not easy if someone says i will take it right away you gotta thing are you nutts or is this too good to be true usually it is one or the other. Buyers are few and far between.
