Hey guys, I just put http://www.WeedLand.com up and I need some suggestions before I start advertising.

What categories/boards am I missing? Should I change the colors? All suggestions/flames are welcome. Thanks. :thumbsup

If you want it to be a productive board,use a php software from the beginning.

Also the theme is a bit 'normal'...

I don't feel like signing up just now...

Look at your site and the board like a regular pothead and adjust until you feel the need to sign up and start posting...

Also try to fill the board up a bit before you start advertising.

The chance to get somebody to join an empty board is not too good...

Is greentea okay with you advertising blunts.com on "weedland"? I know headshops around here will throw you out if you mention weed or call their water pipes bongs.

And are you okay with your whois info having your home address? If your site gets big, its gonna get alot of attention with a name like "weedland" and forums discussing cultivation and harvesting.

in 24 hours my whois-protection will kick in and block all of that. And i'm pretty sure he's okay with it.. if he has any problems, i'll definately take the ads down in a split second.

very true, I'd find a freeware board scripted in PHP versus CGI/PERL.. PHP is better tenfold in my opinion, and cross-platform compatibility is a plus.
