car audio sugestions

As I have decided to keep two of my cars for another two years I think I will improve the sound system in one & put some 22's on the other..

In respect to the sound system I don't want to mess up the cars interior however need better amp, head unit & speekers.. Any suggestions?

I budget around 2k is that enough ?

Am not looking for something like you see on those cribs & rides type programs..

Take a look at the JLW7 V2, the Pioneer decks, and the Zapco amps. You cant go wrong with any of that...

personally, i use all alpine electronics. they have good features, and excellent sound. great clarity, although for _just_ sub amps, you may look into some other units that can be a bit more "punchy" in the bass.

for speakers, if you can get your hands on the boston accoustics pro seperates, they're probably just about the best speakers on the market, but very expensive (i paid $650 for a pair of 4.5" seperates - but they sounded better than anything i've ever heard in a car on less power).

edit: i have a set of eclipse speakers in my truck, and they're fairly decent for their size.

subs i prefer jl audio. generally very clear, and excellent performers from the small 8" to comp-level units.

:2 cents:
