I want to open a business checking account in Canada. Does anybody know what it takes for a U.S. Citizen to do that?

name address tax number I would think is all that's necesary, but the bank or credit union will tell you easy enough.

you can get a us doller account in canadian banks too - easier for this biz as everything is paid in US dollars

Yes....I could ask a bank but I am curious today and the banks all seem to be closed for some reason.

Is there a Canadian resource site where I can read up on the tax number thing you mentioned?
