Why the recent domain selling trend?
 

I've been seeing a lot of domains being sold (well trying to be sold) on GFY lately - what do you guys thinks its from?

Men.com sale hype maybe?

Started with one or two people... and they sell. So now everyone is trying to peddle domains. Not even sites- just domains.

It's almost getting as bad and this sig whoring trend...

Well it has me wondering whether they were bought for resale or development some name for sale are quite poor. I believe it hasnt been sparked from anything more than the fact some domain owners have spend $$$ on rego and it is catching up eg some of my domaiin have cost me over $300 in rego costs since 98.

GFYers believe they can still buy anything they like for $10 from new i have bought some great names at these prices but what are you going register new that is decent and is better than something registered 5 years ago not much...

What has sparked all this the realising of the ongoing costs of an undeveloped name or names.

Yeah there are definately thousands of gems out there collecting dust.
