Have you or anyone you personally know won a state lottery?
 

I am just curious... has anyone in here (or someone they personally know) won a jackpot prize in any state-sanction lottery game? Include multi-state lotteries like PowerBall too.

A friend of mine in LA. His daughter won $6 Mil and she gave him half to invest which was cool. He had a few pizza shops at the time and now has 60 of them.

My old roomates dad's, best friend won the lottery and put a education fund for my roomate to go to school with only of like $30,000. My roomate was so dumb and dropped out of highschool at grade 11.

I went to university with a girl whose parents won Lotto 6-49 up here in canada, Twice..

My friends brother won the 6-49 here in Canada. The great thing about Canadian lotteries though is they pay you outright, not over a period of time and it is all tax free so you get every sent of it.

Also, the guy that worked at the Customer Service desk at a local Canadian Tire store won 6-49 too. He was this fat lazy slob. It would take him 5 minutes to walk the 20 feet across the room to get something and take him 10 minutes to get back. He would huff and heave and look all put out that he had to walk to get something. Dealing with him was torture.

My cousin won the lottery in PA several years back - not a huge jackpot, but she gets a nice check every year.

my friend's parents won enough to buy a house in the valley and have a nice life. they were never big spenders, so it supports them. my friend jeffrey won, also, although he won less than the deb's parents, but it is still nice recurring money.
