Paris Hilton Video A Hoax: (Another Mikesouth.com Exclusive):

You heard about it on Stern, you read about it at AVN and on most every other site but apparently nobody actually watched, and more inportantly LISTENED to it.

Particularly the radio in the background. There is at least one commercial which talks about Valentines day being Saturday, now assuming that the video is the real deal, the last time Valentines day was on a Saturday was 1998, which would make Paris Hilton all of 16 years old (She was born 2-17-1981) when the tape was made.

That would make everyone who watches it a pedophile. BUT fear not, you aren't, theres also a commercial for an interview between Diane Sawyer and Mel Gibson about Passion of Christ, that movie has gottan a lot of pre-release press but certainly not 6 years worth.

And farther into the video there is a commercial for the network premeire of Princess Diaries on ABC.

All of this adds up to ... it's most likely a big ass hoax, probably the additional footage was filmed with look alikes and filmed very recently at that.

Note that NOWHERE on the site that claims to have the rights to this video does it say "Paris Hilton".

The sound definitely isn't original, but I'd say the person encding it just fucked up and had his radio bleeding through.

How would that happen unless the encoding person had a mic on,computers dont pick up sound unless told to.

All three of those things would be on the radio in the past week or so. Valentine's day is also this Satuday (today), and Princess Diaries is premiering this Saturday (today) and Sawyer's Gibson interview is this Monday.

You don't need a microphone to have radio noise on an analog signal. RF noise is the reason audiophiles spend big bucks shielding everything. Remember, this tape was recorded in analog, and someone presumably digitized it from an analog format to a digital format. The audio on the vid I saw is terrible, so probably the guy forgot to plug in the audio cables from the VCR to his computer, or there was something wrong with the cables/connectors, or maybe he lives really near a radio station's transmitter.

The audio observations are interesting, but I'd say the main thing it suggests is that the digitization from analog to digital was very recent, and with poor attention to audio integrity.

The impression I get is someone videotaped either their computer monitor or television(?) and encoded that video. At the beginning it sounds like the people recording the video are making funny remarks.

That is 100% Paris Hilton. The final, well lit portions of the video show her very clearly. It's her or her identical twin.

Hm, one other possibility. Maybe Mike South's speaker wires or sound card are poorly shielded, and what he heard is just his local radio station bleeding into his computer audio, amplified by his turning the volume way up. Has anyone else heard the same radio stuff? :-)
