Actually, the terrorist groups have had to start bringing in people from outside of Iraq to start bombing and killing civilian iraqis in order to start a civil war. Al queda is actually complaining about the fact that the Iraqis themselves are pretty content for the most part with how things are going. This isn't about independence, it's about hatred.:2 cents:

Saw a news segment about how once it became legal for them to own satellite dishes they were flying out as fast as they could ship them in. People in that segment were definitely a lot happier than a year ago.

Iraq should not become an election issue, if we're not careful and rush through the process it will be much worse than before the war.
