Is Google going to do it again???
For those of you that are worried about your PR in Google:
Search Analysts Predict Google Shift Next Week Jim Hedger and Ross Dunn of Stepforth released their predictions today that Google rankings will undergo another major change next week. Have you noticed any changes in your link count? "We are predicting another massive change to listings over the next week, based on our analysis of how Google is looking at incoming links and its recent behaviour patterns." As proof they offered that, "Google has, in the past 24-hours, radically upped the link-count on most of our clients' sites." Yesterday Google only recognized 105 of the more than 1000 actual links to Stepforth's site. Today Google shows 220. This enormous change in the number of Google-recognized links to theStepforth site indicates a change in what the Google algorithm perceives as a valid link. The rise in links also indicates that Stepforth's site, along with all the other sites in Google's index, may soon rank differently. Have you noticed a change in the number of links to your site? What do you think this indicates? Thanks to Stepforth for breaking this news. Article came from webpronews |

Yeah, We got hit hard on two of our sites as well...
I heard that one of the big sites went from a 7 to a 1 Mainstream! That had to hurt!!! |
They must be geniuses to predict that today, when GoogleGuy has already announced that a major "change" is going down starting today and over the holiday weekend.

I have only looked at one site and it gives quite a strange reading -
pr from 4 - 3 Google links from 150 (ish) to 261 This is going to take some working out - But - The extra 100 pages being indexed will get me more hits, so I am not complaining! |
I thought something was going on yesterday... as a very nice search term I've been number 2 at for a few months... Then yesterday I was #1 then a little later I was #3 then I was back to number #2 .. now today I'm still number #2 :(
