does anyone have the inside on Doom 3, I mean every time I look on Amazon, the release date gets pushed back: June 1, 2004.

at the moment I'm downloading a verified download on kazaa lite, saying it's the E3 demo leak. Hope it really is. (don't go hasseling me about copyright, I'll be the first to buy it, I always buy the greats like Doom, Wolfenstein and Warcraft)

Doom was the first game I went nuts about and I can't wait to pay the new one, since Return to Castle Wolfenstein was so great (catacomb level was pretty scary when you played it in the middle of the night :-)

I loved Doom and Doom2, I think this is a PC game I'd actually be interested in playing!

Doom III keeps getting delayed but I think they're trying to get it perfect. ID software is like that.

I've got friends who've watched the demo and told me not to watch it because it's going to be so good that I should wait for the real deal.

When you actually think about Doom I you'll actually realize that it's debut sold more computer upgrades and ram upgrades than anything Microsoft has done.

Back then it was $35/meg of ram to upgrade. I took the big leap and went from 8 megs to 16.

Yea Blizzard is like that too . War3, D2 and Starcraft is really the shit . Everything they have done is good.

You are right about the catacomb level I was playing the only light was the computer my wife was sleeping. I was so focused something jumped out at me I screamed and scared the shit out of my wife lol.

Considering the incredible hardware requirements, I don't think it there will ever be a full port, at least not to the current consoles.

Doom ]|[ will be revolutionary, I truely believe that. I had the Alpha when it leaked and back then the light effects and the atmosphere it created were simply horrifying. Can't say that about that many games.

I for sure will invest a good grant into my PC once the game is released.

My wife made me stop playing until the wee hours of the morning because the sounds were giving her nightmares. :)

I had to reconfigure my pc, had to open the dos and win 3.11 manual, was a total newbie, but I learned to work with computers thanks to this game.

I only had my screen and a little night lamp on, combined with the awsome cinema-quality sound of soldiers screaming and being eaten in the background.

Doom 3 will be a single person focused game (as the new quake is coming), with emphasis on the scare factor. Don't like multi player that much anyway, seems to be over too fast and working together ain't my thing. Although kicking some friend's ass in Warcraft keeps being fun

I remember downloading one of the many 'Aliens' patches for Doom and playing it with the lights off to give me an edge because the game was set on a dark spaceship. I used to get so immersed (shit scared) I had to stop and take breaks. One night when I was playing into the early hours my wife came into the room and asked when I was coming to bed, so I said I would just finish this level. With a smile on her face she slinked over to me stood with legs slightly apart and placed my hand on her pussy. She was soaking wet and expected me to drop every thing and rush to bed, instead I looked her in the eye and told her I would finish this level as quickly as I could. So if anyone tells you Doom is better than sex don't laugh.

DoomIII has some nice graphics, I played the E3 leak of the game and it really was frightening. I wasn't playing in the dark but when a few of the baddies popped out on my scream I jumped up in my chair, literally. However, graphics wise, game engine wise, and pretty much every other "wise", half life 2 is going to own the shit out of Doom III.

3D Realms had a gold mine on their hands with Duke Nukem Forever and they blew it.
