fucking epassporte! Thanks for the GREAT service! ASSHATS!!

i dont use it for shit, EVER!

last night i loaded it with $50 to buy a test run of some traffic. Turns out there is a $5 load fee, so i had to eat it and only buy $45 worth, no biggie

today i go in and try and pay my traffic broker who has already sent these hits, and the funds are no longer available!!

now some mysterious charge of $8.99 showing in pending status, and all it says is "internet services"

i havent a fucking clue who this person is, what the service is, or why the fuck i am paying them!

i called epassporte and they said there is nothing i can do, the transaction must be cancelled on the merchants side

WTF??

its only $9 so i could give 2 shits, but this company lets people bill people for no fucking reason, and then allows the transaction to continue??

:feels-hot

lil2rich4u2 02-11-2004 06:49 PM

I'll give you two choices here... you can either dump this in my lap and I'll figure it out for you by the morning at the latest... or you can sit on here and bitch for the rest of your life.

We do NOT allow people to just bill for no reason, get that fact crystal clear.

from thr epassprt site

How does it work?

After entering your credit card information, ePassporte charges an undisclosed pending amount between US $0.01 and US $2.00 (between US $0.01 and US $3.00 for cardholders outside the US) to your credit card, which you must obtain prior to being approved for an ePassporte account. In order to find out the amount of the pending charge, you must have access to the information regarding your credit card from your bank. There are two ways to get this amount: By calling the number on the back of your credit card and asking for the pending amount from your bank's customer service representative or, by retrieving it from your online credit card statement. Only the actual cardholder will have access to the credit card number, the CVV2 number and other data which will enable a cardholder to authenticate himself/herself to a bank representative or to a password protected online statement.

Once you are able to obtain the exact pending charge amount, you will have ten (10) minutes to enter that amount and your credit card is then immediately verified. Now, you can use that credit card to load or reload your ePassporte account. You must repeat this process for any additional credit cards you intend to use to load your ePassporte account.

If you are not able to complete this process within ten (10) minutes, you will receive an email from ePassporte at the email address you entered on the application form, with step-by-step instructions on how to complete the verification procedure. If you need assistance, please contact ePassporte Cardholder Services at [email protected] or by phone at 1-310-301-2001.

that could be your problem

thanks KK, i didnt lie one bit, the stuff i posted above is exactly what they told me.

i explained how i have no clue who or what this company is, and i didnt authorize any charges whatsoever ... they went on to explain how they cant just stop a transaction because i called them, they said they needed to contact the merchant, but the merchant info was not on file

:/

thanks for helping ...
