i am intrested in making my own rap beats what software and hardware do you guys recommend for a beginner?

Move youre hands away from each other. Then with great strenght bang them together. Thats the basic move. For a grand finale...grab you monitor on booth sides and look close to the gfy screen. Then move forward as fast as you can. Stars and bells will be your part.

i agree... FruityLoops will do what you need and is very easy. it comes with a plethora of sounds, and you can download more.

Acid Pro is also very easy. You get buy Acid loop CDs and mix and match it.

If you really get into mixing check out Reason or Sonar. Both are great programs.:2 cents:
