Can I like drive down the road and scan for open networks? Anyone with experience, I want to play ;)))

yeah, I guess you can. you may run across someone with a strong router

but drive very slowly, and stop in front of each house . . . . should get exciting when the cops show up to see what's going on

you need certain tools. there are tons of websites to check up about it

Knock yourself out, just keep in mind that its a VERY gray area where you are scanning for the neighbors wireless internet connection, or accessing it, and commiting a felony.

Theres a few coffee shops here in victoria that have wifi but only for their office, but I can access it because they left it wide open, didn't even bother to change the password. :Graucho
