Is anyone actualy buying domains?
 

I see about 10 posts every day with people trying to sell domains. Is there anyone actualy paying for these?

With good names, definitely, but most of the posts don't have good names. I'd guess once or twice a week someone posts a domain or group of domains that sell.

I am sure some of the better ones are getting purchased.

Im talking about these shit domains that are posted on here all day long... for example i saw something like Sexy-School-Girl-Webcaz-For-Free.biz

I am not buying those domains. But I am always prowling around for good, short domains. I picked up TGPHQ.com in a NameWinner auction a few months ago for $30.00 I belive it was.

Good domains are getting harder and harder to find, thus the value of good ones ones going up :)

I do get regular inquiry on my names some without advertising for sale.

I have had several letters of offer for
the ones i dont wanna sell over last few years pinkdoor.com would recieved a letter every couple of months enquiring the price to sell

I cant see myself promotiing dialers again i dont have the time to do all i want.to do i was chasing around a $1000 all offers or insults to be directed to [email protected]

Yeah, the pickings have become slim in the way of just flat out registering domains unless you are okay with non .com tlds.

i buy my domains for $8 from godaddy or namecheap, and i think up my own brandable domains.

none of this - "i want $100 for freesexhardcoretitsfuck.com"

we still buy names

both adult and non-adult

but with so many good domains being offered to on almost daily basis, we've become very picky

not for a while, nothing that has caught my attention

I buy and sell, but some ppl try to pour you syrup on crap and try to sell it as pancakes !

I buy them occasionally, when I'm bored :)

I am everyday if it is worth it to me and can make in about 6 months what i pay for it for sure.

That doesn't happen often anymore.
Now the standard for domains seems even 24 months.
4-6 months for TGP's

Its harder now to get good ones without paying through the nose.

You can't make much of a returne on expireds either because the good ones get picked up fast or for a premium.

True about expireds but they are few and far between the last few i have bought were people just trying to liquidate mostly through referals from friends so the price was right cause they needed cash quick. Not buying from the general or any other typein guys they just arent selling or are way overpriced

If you have a good domain or your know how to market it there will be always people buying it
