Ice 02-10-2004 08:10 PM

I use to go to the one in Gastown when I lived in Vancouver. Great food IMO :thumbsup

StuartD 02-10-2004 08:11 PM

Yep, the one in Gastown rocks, I've been there a bunch of times.

yeah, they make great pasta, and give you a LOT to eat. I've never had any complaints about them.

The closest one - about 30 minutes drive in best conditions - to me stopped serving lunch. Only dinner now. So I never get there anymore. Pretty good food, though.

opps sorry for the spelling

I love the SF I always eat there when I hit Seattle. Not exactly "fine" cuisine but im a pasta lover and they do pasta well. And the service is fast! You get your meal about 8 minutes after you order. They have an old rustic feel and are comfortable enviroments.

great food - cheap prices.

the one in winnipeg is always booked full and you need a reservation even on weekdays

Stewie 02-10-2004 08:13 PM

I've been to a them in a couple different cities. Don't expect really "authentic" Italian, but very good grub :thumbsup

ozmatt 02-10-2004 08:14 PM

yeah i used to eat at the one in banff alot.. had a friend that worked there, so we got staff discount.. but the meals are a good price anyway, and the bread with garlic butter is good to fill up on before hand..

wish we had them here

Newport Beach, CA :thumbsup

mastamindz 02-10-2004 08:14 PM

Its ok.

SomeCreep 02-10-2004 08:14 PM

I love that place. Great food :thumbsup

KRL 02-10-2004 08:14 PM

Sounds familiar. Think I went to one in Newport Beach way way back. Pretty good food if I'm remembering right.

JunkyardDog 02-10-2004 08:15 PM

Its a great place. They have one right down the street from Douglas College in New West so I ate there a lot after class when I used to go there.

The gastown one has a great enviroment for sure, we used to go down there after work at GM Place all the time as well. Nice and social and great food for a good price.

Vitasoy 02-10-2004 08:23 PM

Never tryed it, but I looks like I should.

Huggles 02-10-2004 08:24 PM

Apparently the one in Gastown in Vancouver is haunted!

suesheboy 02-10-2004 09:06 PM

Marina Del Ray like 20 years ago. Kicked ass back them.

erehwon 02-11-2004 08:51 AM

Last time I was there it wasn't earthshattering, no complaints.

CyberBachelor 02-11-2004 09:06 AM

I really liked it the last time I went there... I haven't been there in probably 10 years or more

JFK 02-11-2004 09:14 AM

Used to be one in Toronto, the athmosphere was better than the food. They closed it probably 10yrs ago, and auctioned off all the funky knick knacks.

gregtx 02-11-2004 09:17 AM

I had lunch there with Nick and Anthony... about a year ago.. well .. kinda :winkwink:

mindoza 02-11-2004 09:19 AM

chef boyardee!

BigFish 02-11-2004 09:21 AM

tastes ok. ate there a couple of times. i'd take cheesecake factory over them anytime though.

Rob 02-11-2004 09:43 AM

I never heard of the Spaghetti Factory but we have a Spaghetti Warehouse here in Tampa (Ybor City) and it's a decent meal. Nothing spectaclar. It's basically an Olive Garden with Gay waiters.

Come to think of it, I haven't been there in years. I wonder if its even still around.
