Dual screen question

I am about to order 2 18 or 19 inchc lcds but what do I need more. I have one geforce 2 atm so can I just add another for the 2nd screen or do you advice to get 1 new card with a dual screen option?

Gimme some input on this please :thumbsup

no one huh :(

I liked having a second card for the other screen.

I have 2 lcds hooked up to one card.

the car has both an analog and digital outputs
if you dont have 2 inputs on your card than you gotta chnge it

you can't have two cards running simulataneously in one system for several reasons.

Get an ATi Radeon with Dual Screen capabilities and you're good to go. If you don't play games, I'd recommend Matrox cards. They offer superior 2D image quality.

Not at all true, but moot to argue. The one card solution is superior then running a second PCI card.

A friend adviced me to get 1 new card with dualscreen capabillities. He also mentioned the ATI Radeon. But I never play any games on my pc so you would say getting a Matrox card?

Btw what is the plus of having 1 card instead of 2?

After having my second high end card die due to overheating. (The fans give out after about a year of constant use.)
I'd suggest getting 2 fanless video cards. That's what I'm using now and they're doing great. Save the high-end ATI & nVidia cards for a game box.

ok great now I am confused lol

Just ordered 2 19 inch iiyama lcds, can't wait for them to arrive :glugglug

quashe,

Get a Geforce 5000 series, it has dual DVI outputs. Plus you get the fast Geforce graphics for gaming.

Also, make sure your LCD's have DVI inputs, the analog really sucks ass. I went with 2 Dell Ultrasharps. :thumbsup

single cards, the geforece 5600 is what you want. good for 2d, and holds its own in 3d. has digital in, digital out, svideo out, the whole kit and caboodle, and is very affordable

tical 02-10-2004 11:43 PM
