documentry fans - I recommend Dark Days

I saw Dark Days last night on tv. I had tried to see it in the cinema when it came out a few years ago but it didn't stick around too long. It is about the homeless people that lived next to the Amtrak tracks near Penn Station in New York.

When I was a teenager I read an article about them and their sense of community sparked my interest in sociology which eventually led to me getting a degree in the subject.

It was a very well done bit of work and anyone who likes documentries should check it out.

Anyone have any they have seen lately to reccomend, I am in a factual mood.

It's a documentary about a guy trying to make a cheap horror movie.

another good one: "capturing the friedmans"

kinda disturbing, but very well done

I have to agree. Dark days is a great independent documentary. The story about how it was made is as good as the movie.

I have been trying to see that but it is proving really hard to find in London. I am sure if it wins the Oscar it will be more available.

I put that on Netflix a few weeks ago - looks like a very thought provoking flick.
