Strangest Sponsor Check Story.
 

I have a few , but the strangest one was fairly recently. I recieved a check for a few thousand dollars in my mailbox, the only problem was the name on it was " JOHN Q PUBLIC " . It was from the company CDNOW. Along long time ago i had an account with them, i never logged into the stats and never checked it , as it was only one of those little search features. Well i guess they stopped running the affiliate program awhile ago and they were sending out the final checks. Funny thing was though , even if the check was in my name, it was 2 montha after the check was written and the check said do not cash after 60 days.

hmm...well they stopped the affil program cus they're owned by amazon now ... but still weird O_o

I Also had a strange one along time ago with a company i had only tried for a bit, I think it was cecash possibly in the old days, under a different name.

To this day i cant remember the name of the company but it was something like.

SCHOOLGIRL CHERRY POPPERS

The check itself was PINK ( although i dont think think they actually did their own checks. )

BIG BLAZING LETTERS ACROSS THE TOP OF THE CHEQUE. because it was from out of the country my bank would cash it, so they offered me to set up 3 new bank accounts with seperate currency in each, then i can cash wtf i want. SO then they say all the clerks are busy how bout going to see the bank manager. Well gee ok , i guess its kind of late to take back those 2 joints i just smoked.

So i hand the guy the check and he looks at it for a second, and then turns it around and shows me what it says along the top of the check.

So im like "look man the check is good its a name of a fruit juice " i work for them ok ..

So he of course has to call and verify the funds * takes an hour * ok " would you like to deposit any of that sir " ... " HELL NO , it took long enough just to get it, i dont want to have to do that agin :)
