Just played a little poker for actual real money
 

.... in a bar. Video poker terminal...... got a small hand, won a few bucks, then hit the "double up" button and doubled it 6 times in a row.... Walked out with $200.


Not bad for an hour's screwing around.






Anyone gotten themselves in a money game on that choicepoker site? I totally suck at playing for free, came 49th out of 110 in one of the last tournaments. Maybe I'm only lucky when real $$ is on the line. :D

Not that people don't play silly all the time, but people get crazy when they didn't put their own cash on the line to enter a tourney.

Struth. The other night I had over $60k in play money, and lost it all in a few hours. Went "all in" on one hand for $25k (I had 3 of a kind)... but the other guy had a flush.:mad:

I really like being able to yell and swear when I lose, and cheer loudly like an asshole when I win...... so playing a real life game in a room with actual people might not be the way to go for me :Graucho :D

I play 3-4 times a week at our local card rooms.
Alot of 3-6 games with 4-8 kill
and 4-6 with 6-12 kill..

Gets alot more intresting when you play those kinda games..

Kinda fun..

Over the past 5 years I've won the $1000 royal flush 6 times.



But I try to only play those VLT's in the bars just a few times a year. They are damn addictive.

Were gonna have to start a seperate board for recovering porn webmaster gamblers.

I'm learning poker for the first time. can anyone help?

I've been doing shitty in the buy-in league, good in the free roll league.

I did make $50 by coming in 4th in the $500 Free Roll there on Saturday.

Just watch me and learn.

That Texas Hold 'em is a lot different than the poker I'm used to playing. The betting takes a lot of practice to get good at....... being able to bluff at the right time, and knowing when to fold or go "all-in" at the right time..... is everything. Being lucky with cards plays a part, yes.... but someone with a sheer sense of strategy can do really well even without a lot of good hands.


Some of you fuckers have balls, I'll give you that. I saw one guy go "all-in" with over $120k of play money..... the pot was $230k.... and the fucker won.


Biggest fake pot I ever took was about $30k.
