For personal accounts there is an initial receiving limit of $205 per calendar month. In order to increase your receiving limits we ask you to fax us additional information for verification. An example of additional pieces of identification would be a drivers liscense, passport, or utility bill. We require this information to authenticate your identity and to determine how much you may receive with your account. We may require additional information from you depending on your location and other factors. Based on the information you provide, we will determine your Receiving Limit. Generally, accounts that have a confirmed email address and credit card on file may receive up to $1,000 per month. Accounts that are certified by confirming additional information will receive a higher receiving limit or no limit at all. You may apply to increase your sending and receiving limit at the same time. |

Thanks , I have an account there...But didn't have the chance to use it yet. |
Ikobo has grown too big too fast and now their customer support/service sucks. It takes weeks and/or months to get a response from them. Although after months it is quite possible you will not get a response at all. They have hidden fees too. Eg: a customer signsup in error/duplicates a purchase. Or you do not wish to accept a payment from someone for whatever reason. You have to pay them the processing fees and $0.95 to cancel the duplicate/undesired order.
They do not advise you of chargebacks. They just take the money out of your account. although you may get a notice telling you that you initiated a refund. It took a week to get them explain what the fuck happened. They announced a lower fee (2.99%) becomes effective January 1, 2004. Yet they are still charging us 3.99%. Calling them is waste of time. You never get anyone on the phone and they do not return calls. It used to take them 24 hours or less to deposit/release funds collected on our behalf. Now it takes them a minimum 72 hours days to release our money collected. I have written them with all these concerns. Yet nothing changes for the better and they do not respond. They continue on as if we the customers will keep silent about their progressive deterioration. Bottomline stay away from Ikobo! |
