they makein all that money and dont even offer 800 number thats sad
|
they dont make that much money.. they sell below cost and make money on the stupid upsells and fucking people over when things go awry.. had to pay $80 just to get a domain back from the aether the other day.. bullshit.. if they made good money they wouldn't hav eto pull shifty crap like that.. but still.. they're cheap and good for bulk purchases.. i just wouldn't trust them with the "jewels" in your domain crown.

At least they arent like this one company I bought an ISDN router from back in the day - they didnt have a toll-free number, you always had to wait an hour to talk to somebody (who would then walk you through resets and all kinds of other crap before they'd admit it was defective and issue an RMA for it) and thier number was in Canada! I am reffering to Eicon Technologies (www.eicon.com). |

godaddy claims they don't have a 1-800 number in order to keep costs down so they can continue to offer low prices on their domains. |
well total hold time was 46 minutes before i spoke to someone. Just for them to tell me they are upgradeing and it will be fixed in 12 hours. Pretty sad i could of bought a .us domain for as long as i was on hold. Just goes to show cheaper is not better!

Over the years I did it, I made more than $275,000.00 in combined comissions - mostly because I had switched over a handful of very large businesses that spent tens of thousands of dollars each every month. (Damn, my upline was happy). I had switched over a credit card processing company that called all over the world to verify sales and I eventually got them to switch thier main 800 number too. I also switched over a couple of smaller mortage companies and I even snagged one of America's largest manufactures of kitchen faucets. Anybody can get 3.9 cents a minute billed in 6 second increiments. For a company like GoDaddy, which is going to have a commercial telephone system (PABX) and more than likely multiple T1s feeding it - the rate goes as low as 1.9 cents per billable minute. Companies that spend as much time on the phone as they would can throw thier weight around and get a very good rate. |
