Ray@TastyDollars 02-08-2004 07:55 PM

I assume that's some sort of tax form for USA?

bdld 02-08-2004 07:56 PM

yeah it is, I'm not sure if they even send them out to tell you the truth

Ozzymosis1 02-08-2004 07:57 PM

You should try their support email

CCBILL doesn't send 1099's - at least I don't think they do...

see - they work for YOU, not the other way around... so they don't actually HAVE to produce 1099's

They should, since their the ones paying the affiliates for people that are using their affiliate software! Because I'm pretty sure the company using the CCBIll doesn't have all the tax information to send the webmaster!

No, the SHOULDN'T. Think about it for a second...

They are NOT paying you. The are accepting CREDIT CARDS for you. It is YOUR money.

Do you think VISA sends 1099 to all merchants that use them??

EDIT TO ADD: To be clear, ccbill does not send 1099's. Never have. Never will.

My guess - they don't file 1099's to the IRS...

That doesn't mean they don't answer questions when the IRS comes 'a knocking...

Not to mention liability. they kind'a need to know who you are...

Slick 02-08-2004 08:35 PM

I personally think that anybody that files income for you through the IRS SHOULD send you a 1099 form, but that's just my opinion :)

aflex 02-08-2004 09:37 PM

alright cool i guess, I should just tell my accountant what I earned minus the ccbill fees?

Yep.

Give him the total, then give him the ccbill fees total. CCbill fees are a business expense.

Why aren't the sponsor programs required to issue 1099s?

If CCBILL is only a cc processor service then ultimately it is the SPONSOR that is paying the AFFILIATE a commission on sales and they have a responsibility to issue the 1099.

Right?

Sosa 02-08-2004 09:46 PM

Is their a way to view all your ccbill fees via their website?

aflex 02-08-2004 09:55 PM

playa 02-08-2004 10:10 PM

That's correct. That's why you don't get 1099s from CCBill, iBill, Epoch or any other PROCESSOR. The sponsor is the one who is responsible to issue those forms to their affiliates.
