Is this a good deal for content or what?
Ok here is my idea...
When someone order custom content from me which is $3,000+ dollars worth need to pay first half of amount in advance and then second half to pay 2 months after delivery of content? And maximum time for delivery is 10 days from reciving first half. How's that sounds? Please give me some comments Thanx a lot:thumbsup |
2 months to pay the other half? why...?
I'd say max 1 month.. :2 cents: |

I think i am a good guy here to give that opportunity:thumbsup |
You may be a good guy, but you're going to be a broke good guy soon if you go with that policy. If you give someone that much time to pay you, the greater the odds that something may go wrong or he may just decide not to pay you at that point. Anyone that is going to buy that much content is probably serious in this business and can afford to pay you without needing a lot of extra time.

We only pay people after the work has been delivered and approved, unless we know the supplier and he has a credit rating with us equal to the amount we are sending.

Any more opinions?
Thanx:thumbsup |
I've been burned enough times that I don't pay half up front anymore unless I've worked with the company in the past.
I pay on delivery, day of delivery. To keep from getting ripped off, don't release the model docs to them until you receive payment. The content is useless without documentation. |

Would you rather spend your time making money or attempting to collect it? |

Also, you are dead wrong about the model docs but that topic has been killed enough times on this board. |
