PLEASE Help. (My Server can't be found)
I have had the same Unix box served by an individual/friend for over 3 years.
I have 9 sites that have been down for 24; some hours. Her own domain/business URL is also down. Her 800# is down, her home phone just rings forever, and her cell is full. She has always been responsible and treated me very well, so the thought of her skipping out does not apply. WHAT SHOULD I DO? I am in NY, she and the box are in TX. Changing servers will be my only option if I don't resolve this issue within the next few hours, but it's such a major undertaking, when everything was running so well. Have you ever been faced with such a situation? ANY reply/adise would be truly appreciated. |
Yeah I have had that happen before, just move now. get a server at rackshack.net

I keep thinking that she went away for the weekend, and it maybe as simple as a hardware fall, a power out, etc, and that the system has not a beeped her. I got a good thing going with her, the prices, the tech support, ( she writes most of my cgi scripts for free) so I have to give it a few more hours. I am in the search and ready for my options. This truly sucks. |

It's always in the last place you look.

I just saw a kid ride by with it strapped to the back of his bike.

Sounds like your friend disappeared on you. Get a new ISP. See my sig for my host of choice.
