Violent cartoon sex -- LEGAL?

Is violent sex cartoon porn legal? Not super violent stuff, just stuff like the "Alien" movies or a Tarantino film.

hottoddy 02-07-2004 04:08 PM

So far the Supreme Court has protected "CGI child porn," so I think some ink and paper are safe for now.

Shouldn't ink and paper be censor-free regardless?

I mean, no actual people just fiction.

Yea but CGI CP, that's still sick, I'm glad that they would censor that.

If movies can be violent, why not violent cartoons with sex? Not violent sex per se just a lot of violent action scenes

If you want to know about art and censorship, go here:

Comic Book Legal Defense Fund
http://www.cbldf.org/

They are a great organization who monitors and fights censorship in the comic industry.

That is sad if they are censoring comic books. Even if they are for adults?

The CBLDF has been providing counsel for Castillo since his arrest in 2000 when he was charged with two counts of obscenity for selling adult comic books to adults.

Fund board member Neil Gaiman says, "I think the hardest thing to believe is that Jesus was found guilty of selling an adult comic, from the adult section of the store, to an adult police officer, and convicted because the DA convinced the jury that all comics are really intended for children. I can't imagine a world in which the same argument would have worked for books or for films -- and I'm afraid that highlights why comics retailers (and artists and writers and publishers) still need a Defense Fund, and still need to be defended."

I photographed him naked on a public beach just before he fled the state. He is a great guy and really did not deserve the hell those people put him through. Who does a sting operation for a zine??? Crazy stuff.

Mike Diana is one of the most famous cases of censorship in recent U.S. history. The guy was convicted for his artwork. No matter how sick they were (some of them are truly shocking), they were still drawings.

Yeah the Japanese are an odd bunch. It's okay in Japan for 13 year old girls to have paid for sex dates but they have censorship laws.

Basically, Japan is smarter than us. They don't use censorship for extortion or revenge or suppression, they use it as a tool for marketing.

Everybody knows, the best way to sell something is to label it 'forbidden' or 'off limits'.

Temptation is a great motivator.

Rick Latona 02-07-2004 05:40 PM

It depends on which country you are in.

pornkitten 02-07-2004 06:23 PM

I think it is all legal more legal in japan even hehe

I was kidding but why then do they have all those hentai movies? Some of them are really sick and twisted (I know I've watched them), maybe thats why..

Hentaikid 02-08-2004 10:07 AM

"Legal" and "approved by ccbill" are 2 different things altogether.
