Anyone here know anythin' else about this game?

Whoa. Last time I even heard about that game I was still in school. :warning

I know I saw it on the shelf at best buy and i got all excited, ran over and grabbed it... felt a surge of accomplishment for getting the only one on the shelf... yes, it was mine! I had it in my hands, and life was good...

and then the disappointment hit me like a baseball bat to the face. the box was empty. It was only there to get a pre-sell on the game which is "coming soon"

i threw it on the floor and walked away.

Yea me and my friends from school set up a network on the campus system to play doom 2 ..fun game, this new one looks good

Yea I looked at it today...well it was a giant box..so i din't get too excited, but the shite on the back looked good....

the one i saw was a normal sized game box.. i was like holy shit there it is... i must have it... :(

The new Half-Life looks even better and got some sweet features

bah..total frag fest..die every 5 seconds. The best FPS games are games like CS, COD, SOF, BF1942.

yeah i can't wait for half-life2 ...its too bad the source code got leaked..I could of been playing it already. :( Doom 3 trailer is awesome ...i'll have to pick up this one as well :thumbsup

Doom3 will be the BEST single player FPS out there, no doubt... half life 2 will probably have the better multiplayer though.

is the launch date in april? i've never heard that yet ;)

I have the alpha.. good graphics.. hope the release its not a big a dog as the alpha. takes 30 minutes to load.

dude the alpha sucks, it's one year old shit not tweaked to run on your system... that's why it takes 30 minutes to load and run at 5fps

Doom3 is going to be great, but the graphics are intense - anyone recommend me a new card? geforce/ ATI/ nvidia

At my best buy there was a table full of like 30 boxes with a doom 3 display. I don't play PC games, but right there I was instantly sure I'd be going home with a new video card, some more ram and everything I'd need to be playing 8 hour days of doom 3 at a time.

Then I realized it was presale and bought prince of persia for ps2.

I don't understand why people like multiplayer, I've never played anything multiplayer that was any fun including counterstrike.

i have ATI radeon 9800 pro, it runs anything i've thrown at it very well. doom 3 will slow it down though i'm sure.

got prince of persia 2 for XBOX... blew me away. Never played something that good.

the thing is that the screenshots from doom3 are not renders, that is actual game quality graphics.. I think in a lot of ways it will blow HL2 out of the water.. but in some ways HL2 will blow doom3 out of the water.. Both will be really good games, but I will always put more faith in Carmack and the ID boys.. they invented the FPS genre and they are always the ones to take it to the next level

March and April are gonna be 2 crazy months for games. I'd better get my work caught up before then. Here's what EBgames is showing for SHIP dates on the following games (note their SHIP dates)

If you're gonna upgrade, WAIT a couple of months because the new Nvidia NV40 and ATI R420 cards (not actual names of models). Those cards should be able to push all of the new games nicely :)
