It would be awesome if the second head was alive.

C_U_Next_Tuesday 02-07-2004 12:40 AM

it' always seems to be in foreign countries that these freakish births w/ defects happen. I hope she fares well through the surgery

Paul Markham 02-07-2004 12:43 AM

I can remember my parents talking about they felt when my youngest brother was born with a hair lip fixed back in 54. And how the surgeons fixed it.

This girls parents must be going through some form of hell. I wish them well.

In a other countries the person would have had a scan, then had an abortion.

My sister worked in a hospital where a woman was pregnant with a cyclops baby (think both eyes merged together into one large center). It was otherwise healthy, but this 'problem' had to be taken care of; so they induced the woman into labor far too early, and then just didn't give the premature cyclops standard lifesaving care.

Manowar 02-07-2004 03:26 AM

ewww, i feel sorry for that baby, hope the operation goes well

DeadFidel 02-07-2004 03:39 AM

Oh my goodness. Makes one stop bitching about petty shit.
When I was 16 I had a part time job working at Westchester Medical Center's Childrens hall as a night porter. There were many deformed children that were left my their partents. At the time I could not look at them. As an adult looking back at the pictures left in my mind, it makes me feel so lucky of the hand I was dealt.
G-d bless that baby.

Kicker 02-07-2004 05:37 AM

If the brain is formed correctly it is not a big problem(exception made from the fact that Santo Domingo surgeons are not the top surgeons of the world), but usually this rare malformations are more complicated than you see with your eyes.

Angie 02-07-2004 12:37 PM

Oh thats a shame she died :(

KRL 02-07-2004 12:38 PM

RIP :(

The operation was a success but she had hemorraging complictions post op and just died.

cool1 02-07-2004 12:43 PM

Such a sad thing they could keep her alive.

RATBOY 02-07-2004 12:50 PM

Wow. That's amazing.

Just a short tangent, but should pics of children on this board be allowed, no matter the context?

Vitasoy 02-07-2004 12:53 PM

First time I've seen it, I was blown out... Simply amazing.
