Thumb TGP - great design or a bit conservative?
 

Hello guys,

Need advice of TGP owners. I am about to start 3 thumb TGP's (1 gay, 1 straight, 1 fetish), they will be my first TGP's so I need some advice...

Is it better to invest some money to great design so it would be hot for surfers or it's not neccesary and it's better to keep it simple? Do you have any experience?

Don't waste your money on designs, surfers only care about the thumbs and content :2 cents:

don't start 3 in diffrent niches, stick to one niche instead.

I'd say, the design doesnt have to be GREAT but it at least has to be unique and clean, something surfers can remember AND navigate.

Make sure the pages load quickly...some of these pesents dont even have broadband

Before you go the route of all 3, you might want to try 1 niche first and learn about the inner workings of a TGP.

As far as designs, just make sure the page loads fast and is updated on a regular basis. This keeps people coming back on a regular basis. You'll see what works design wise once you can gauge the traffic quality.

I think that you must have clean and fresh thumbs. Updates daily. A Hall of Fame section will not hurt.

If you make a great design - that will not be worst... great designs with great thumbs is perfect.

I think it would be better if you start off with one tgp. If it goes well you can make the other two, but in the same niche.

Simple design for your first (second, third...) TGP while you stuff around and learn about it. Most of mine have a basic logo, a silly slogan, and a bunch of thumbs. No cute corners or little guys peeking from behind the frame of the thumb section.

At a later stage you can start a TGP with a more professional design to gain branding and bookmarkers.

As I explained to you on ICQ... simple is better.
What you want is a good productivity and not a bunch of fools who sit and admire your graphic.
Make them click and find what they like.

Of course it's always nice to have a bunch of bookmarkers but what you really want is people to buy.
