Dotster WHOIS privacy feature?
Is it the same as Go Daddy service?
|
Anyone?
|
I'm almost ashamed to admit this.....but, so far, I haven't been able to locate the privacy feature on Dotster. I'd take advantage of it if I could find it...:(
I know I'm not stupid....blind, perhaps. |
To be honest, I only saw that feature, something like "Whois privacy" in the domain name management area....but I hate their FAQ and support, so I thought I'd get a faster answer here.
But I am using them anyway, sicne they are pretty reliable in generall. |
I'll go look for it again....and, you're right. Getting support from them is not the best.
But, they've never lost any of our domains or given them away...and they've been pretty reliable. I'm too lazy to switch them all to another registrar, although, so far Go Daddy has been pretty good, too. |
Bump.
|
Glad you bumped this.....because I did find the privacy feature.
When you select one of your domains to 'manage', look down the page and you'll see it either under 'add services' or as one of the selections. I'd walk you through it but right now they are down for maintenance, which is a little strange. They've never been down before...:( |
Glad that you saw my bump. :winkwink:
I am considering ordering that service, but i am not sure how the WHOIS will look exactly for that domain though. The same like in Go Daddy? If you don't mind, then please post here a domain that you own and i will look the whois, or icq me 171130893. I you dont want to do it, i understand it - since if we didnt care about privacy, we wouldnt consider that "whois privacy" option. :1orglaugh |
bump. i've noticed this option in Dotsters admin before, but never knew what the whois results would look like if enabled..
