When will you finally call it quits?
 

Lets face it. Some people give this a shot thinking they'll make millions in a week and they become very disappointed. A lot of people aren't persistant enough to stick through this biz through thick and thin, and they're forced to work a 9-5 for the rest of their lives. A lot are persistant but just can't seem to ever make enough to survive off of.

What would it take for you to leave this biz? Would you leave if you had a child on the way? How about if your family condoned it and disowned you until you quit? How long can you stand making $14.95 a day while paying your transfer fees for too much useless traffic that's been sent your way? :Graucho

Obviously this doesn't apply to a select few, but I'm sure a lot of you other fuckers are reading this post and asking yourself "He's right.. what will I do to pay the bills in the next few months?"

Well nothing comes easy. You'll hear that all your life for anything. If you want to scam people then that's the guick and easy road. i wouldn't give up until i was drowning in debt and failed at every avenue in the internet porn world. i think it was stocktrader who said, self employment is like crack, you never wanna go back.

Good point...the ignorance of some people in this industry pisses me off.

I ask this because in the past, I was always wondering why I wasn't making the money I was workin so hard for. I had this question in my head for a longggg time, and I finally broke the plane 1 day to where I could easilly survive solely off of this biz. I even question whether or not I'll still do this when I have kids. I think having a famiy will be a major crossroad in my life. Money is money, but hopefully I'll be able to run things to the point where I'm not as directly involved as I am today.

I am thinking about calling it quits after post # 17,001.

I have not made up my mind yet though. :glugglug

Every biz is a bitch in the begining. Unless you start up with a huge lump of cash(most don't). It is like an endurence test. As you make your mistakes you try to learn your lessons and keep your head above water. If you fine tune as you go along and can take the punishment long enough you will have sucscess to some degree and won't have to bail out.
If you do crash take a break, reorganize, catch your breath and try again.

Yep, that's my concern here also because I'm not insured and seeing my dad have a heart attack a few months ago without insurance, he's fucked pretty good. Between everything, he has nearly $100K in bills. I guess that one major medical problem can whipe out a hell of a lot :(

For me its been nothing but work. sometimes i want to quit and get an easy job, like contruction labor or business law.

But I keep on keeping on and the bills get paid and i have beer in the fridge.

I guess I would quit if i won the lottory or something LOL

couldn't agree with you more. i had to learn the hard way. also, never put things off or wait around for a "better" time to make that important move or take the next step. try to stay "ahead" of the game instead of just keeping up with it.

by the way i got listed on the hun again. Not sure when though the fucker never gives me any warning.

One things for sure though. I'll be eating steaks for a few weeks after the chaos.

i did that here in mass for my brother who didnt have health insurance and they mailed him a list of state negotiated rates to HMO's

he paid half of what he would have if he contacted the ins. companies directly.

and if anyone else is having a problem,
please contact the State Insurance Division where you live

just starting in this biz, I hope I'm able to pay the bills by other means long enough to give this a good go. I do work another non internet related job, which slows my production down on net projects. I currently bring in only a few hundred a month, but have yet to launch a porn only site. While making millions would be awesome, I dont forsee that in my near future, but I would be happy enough with bringing in a few thousand a month so that I could stay home with my child everyday.

What would make me quit? Winning the lotto maybe, maybe marrying into money. If it ever negativley affected the life of my child

I just fell off of the insurance because I'm not a full time student anymore. I've been insuranceless for a little under a month.
