Outta the clear blue sky the Hun linked to me. I won't post how many hits because it's astronomical to say the least. My host couldn't handle it because I'm on a virtual.

I didn't know there were this many hits from a gallery in the world.

So in the future what should I do? Use a freehost? Buy my own server?

is everybody going to post it now when they get listed at the hun?

shit when I started I had 2 gallerys listed somehow in a week and my virtual server at Isprime handled it with ease. What host?:1orglaugh

Get your own server or a sponser with free banerless hosting...I never get listed:mad:

I once got listed on a raq3...for 10 mins.

the first time (and second to last time ever) i was ever listed on the hun was about 5 years ago. wiped out my month's bandwidth in a day. ahh the good old days. :)

Anyone that's been in the business for a year or more, making money, should have their own dedicated server.

It's important to have maximal possible control.

if your virtual plan can't handle a listing on the hun I suggest you change host...

Nope. Wrongo, server didn't crash.

Nah, tried the 'freehost' thing y'know " unlimited bandwidth " stuff and soon as I got mega hits, in came the panic emails. That was years ago though.

If you know of an honorable freehost that can handle it lemme know!

I have to agree with this one. If your host can't deal with a Hun listing, they are worthless, and you should run away very fast.

Nah, my host did just fine. It was an error on my part. My host stepped in and did some troubleshooting and we realize how best to handle this sort of thing. Sometimes dumb luck can lead to better things.
